Spotlight on Santa Fe
Since 1961, Santa Fe Catholic High School has offered a program of college preparatory studies encompassing values grounded in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We educate today’s students with the same degree of excellence that has been our trademark for over 50 years. Through outstanding academic, spiritual, athletic, artistic, extracurricular, and service programs, we help each student develop fully as a child of God. AcademicsCatholic schools equip students to become 21st-century leaders. We prepare students for the academic rigor of universities by cultivating their creative and critical thinking skills, and we use collective and problem-based learning to teach students to develop solutions to real-world problems. We offer programs ranging from college preparatory with skills assistance to on-campus dual enrollment and Advanced Placement.Qualified InstructorsWe are proud to provide our students with compassionate, highly-qualified instructors. Within our faculty, 70% hold a Master’s degree or higher in their subject area, and several hold doctorate degrees. GraduationApproximately 98% of Santa Fe graduates go on to attend four-year schools. This reflects that our students are self-disciplined, self-motivated, engaged in the learning process, and responsible. ExtracurricularsWe support each student and help them embrace their full potential so they can grow into well-rounded adults. We provide a variety of activities in which students can become leaders, team members, athletes, artists, writers, and much more. Our students are encouraged to follow their passion in one of our many extracurriculars! These organizations include the Student Government Association, Academic Team, Chinese Culture Club, drama, choir, and MakerSpace Club.AthleticsAs Athletic Director David Saliba said, our athletic program “has come to embody success in the classroom and in the field of competition, producing not only championship teams but championship-caliber people.” We offer a full spectrum of competitive varsity and junior varsity athletics, which range from football to golf to drum line to swimming. By participating in sports, our students enjoy opportunities to grow outside of the classroom and develop lifelong skills such as teamwork, leadership, and self-discipline. FaithFaith plays an integral role in the everyday lives of Santa Fe students. We value and honor the unique personalities, interests, gifts, and passions that each student, faculty, and staff member brings to the SFC family.
