One of the great things about living in Florida is our access to wildlife and nature. If you have never experienced a drive-thru safari, now is the time to do so. Buckle your family up for a wild ride! We’ve got a list of safari parks where your child can safely observe a variety of animals found all around the world.

Wild Florida
Wild Florida expands across 85 acres of scenic landscapes in Kenansville, Florida. Discover species right from the comfort of your car. You’ll be able to get up close and personal with wild animals and even feed some of them! On top of that, be sure to take an airboat ride and zip-line through the animal park. After all of the hands-on activities, it’s time to meet Crusher, their biggest alligator, weighing at just over 1,000 pounds. Don’t be scared — it’s all part of the wild experience.

St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge
Just near Tallahassee is St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge. Rated five-stars by birders, this zoo is a seven-mile drive that takes you through pinelands and salt marshes to Florida’s second-oldest lighthouse. Keep an eye out for black bears, turkeys, deer, and more. Be sure to download an activity booklet your child can complete at the refuge. From scavenger hunts to BINGO, the pages are full of wildlife fun.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge
Escape to Merritt Island’s National Wildlife Refuge with a self-guided map that numbers all of the spots for you to explore along Black Point Drive. On your 40-minute journey, you’ll find gators, otters, hundreds of bird species, and so much more.

The park offers activities such as animal encounters, feeding experiences, six rides, water sprayground, shopping, food, and more. Be sure to use the Jambo Guide on your tour!
