Life After Graduation

2016Graduation1The graduating Class of 2017 is about to take the world by storm. Many seniors have considered which college they plan on attending and have sent applications to several universities in preparation for a life after graduation. Throughout their lives, the focus has been graduating from a Lakeland private high school, but now that goal has been achieved, it seems a good time to relax and take in the summer with other Diocese of Orlando classmates. Life does continue after graduation, however. Here’s what our graduates will be up to beyond their May graduation. Our graduates have big plans for themselves! Approximately 98% of Santa Fe Catholic graduates attend four-year colleges. Their college choices vary greatly, and our graduating class will soon be scattered across the United States. Many of our students have earned scholarships and plan to continue to play the sports they have excelled at while at Santa Fe. Take a closer look!

Here is a look at the future of other Catholic school graduates:
  • Catholic school graduates are approximately two times more likely to graduate from college compared to their public school peers, according to the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
  • The NCES survey also compared Americans graduating from private schools not affiliated with the Catholic religion. Private school graduates earned a bachelor’s degree or above at 57.1% compared to the 61.9% of Catholic college or university graduates.

It appears that Catholic high school graduates are more likely to attend and graduate college or a university and earn a post-secondary degree. This further education, in turn, will present them with a better profession earning more money. Call the Diocese of Orlando today at 407-246-4800 and speak to a counselor today concerning enrolling your child in a Lakeland private high school. The benefits of a Catholic education greatly outweigh the costs. Read about our schools on our blog page for in-depth information.
